1. CAKE BALLS!
After many (2) failed attempts, I have finally successfully made delicious cake balls. Don't ask me how I failed before, I honestly don't know. The point is, I finally learned how to make them correctly and DELICIOUS. Merry Christmas to me, and everyone that visited my house over the holidays!
2. I made a QUILT!
A few years ago, I bought all this fabric to make a quilt out of, but never actually did. I found it all in a drawer at my parent's house while I was home for the holidays, and I decided to finish (and by finish, I mean start...) it. I had to cut all the pieces, put them together, sew them together, put batting on the inside and then sew on a back.
I worked on it pretty much the entire 2 weeks I was home (off and on) and I finally finished it! I was so proud of myself for 1. actually finishing a huge project and 2. for sewing something! It's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it's still pretty cool, and has currently found a home on my bed, while my comforter is at the cleaners.
Huzzah!
3. 100th Customer!
I already wrote about this, but honestly. 21 years of eating at Chick-Fil-A and I was finally rewarded with this great honor. You guys don't understand, I'm seriously obsessed with it. I may have a problem. Denny and I should start a support group.
4. Arts and Crafts, cont.
For Christmas, I got this book that tells you how to make a billion neat things out of old t-shirts. Yesterday, while cleaning out my closet, I found an old Longhorn shirt that was about 3 sizes too big for me, so I decided to make coasters out of it. (The day before, I had just commented on some sweet UT coasters of Briar's.) While mine aren't as cool, they're still pretty neat. Also, super-easy to make, and no doubt will be useful. I even sewed them together by hand (yet another first!) because the sewing machine was annoying me. Hook 'Em!
