Week 10
Monday, March 7
We started a new system in our classroom. Each table has small jars
that they are working to fill up,
and we have a big classroom jar that we are working to fill up.
The kids seem to like it, and so far it's working pretty well!
Tuesday, March 8
On our way to hip-hop at Ballet Austin.
Cara, Travis, Tucker, AYO and I - FUN!
Wednesday, March 9
I decided to get Whataburger for lunch before class.
These fries were the epitome of PERFECT.
Perfect deserves a picture.
Thursday, March 10
We went to Midnight Rodeo to celebrate Spring Break and
get a little unofficial practice for our show coming up.
So fun!
Friday, March 11
A bunch of us went camping at Perdernales Falls State Park.
Cham, who was in charge of bringing charcoal, was late, as usual,
so we had to improvise on how to cook diner.
It took SO LONG to start the fire - we had to go borrow lighter fluid and supplies
from some high schoolers at the campsite next to us, because we didn't have any.
After the boys FINALLY got a fire started, it was probably about 10:00 at night.
Cham still wasn't there yet, so they ended up putting the skillet directly on the logs.
...interesting.
Saturday, March 12
I felt like I should take a picture of Gumby
"Near the Perdernales River, 'neath a live oak tree,"
However, we didn't see any live oak trees at the part of the river
where we were, so this will have to do.
Week 11
Sunday, March 13
SoCo adventures: including Uncommon Objects, Big Top,
eating lots of junk from trailers and my first
Hey Cupcake! experience.
What a wonderful perfect Sunday.
Monday, March 14
I got my cap and gown!
Tuesday, March 15
Had a fun morning with Tucker, AYO, and Cricket, then
made the drive from Austin to Tyler.
I thought it would be nice to spend a few days at home.
Wednesday, March 16
Mom and I spent the day shopping in Dallas.
That night, I went to meet some of my friends from high school at IHOP.
We sat at the same table we've been sitting at for the last 5 years.
Some things never change. :)
Thursday, March 17
I had forgotten that I bought about a billion WarHeads
(during our SoCo trip to Big Top Candy Shop)
and threw them all in my purse.
AWESOME.
Friday, March 18
Perfect Spring Break activity - TIE DYE.
We had a sweet tie-dye party in the backyard,
complete with Disney music, cookie cake and tons of snacks.
Afterward, we went inside to play ImagineIff, which produced much laughter.
I think my dog enjoyed the party more than anyone though.
He's never had so much attention at one time, he didn't know what to do with it all.
Saturday, March 19
Back to Austin!
Mexican food and margs in Westlake with some Singers.
Then, movie night at Dean's.
Tomorrow... back to school.
Bummer!
