Alright, this is long overdue....

Week 6 and Week 7 I straight up forgot to take pictures. ...Oops. Week 8 and Week 9 I got my act together. So, here we go! 

Week 8

Sunday, February 20

 

I worked a Disciple Now that weekend. Senior girls- absolutely THE BEST. :) 

These girls had a slight obsession with nail polish, 

and this is what my fingers looked like by the time it was all said and done.

 Tuesday, February 22

 

So begins our 4-day week of field trips. 

Earth Camp is a program put on by the City of Austin for 5th graders.

Every day we went out to a different place and learned about 

our environment and how to treat it well. We learned all about water quality 

and where our water comes from, we got to go in a cave and they got to play in a creek. 

Fun week, AND I got to wear jeans and this t-shirt EVERY DAY. Teacher WIN.

Rainy day! I had to take my own car on the field trip so that 

I could leave early for class that afternoon. This is me waiting for the bus to leave.

Hanging out in the band hall before Singers flash mob rehearsal.

A few of us decided to come early to learn Megan's SICK arrangement of MMMBop. 

She is so freaking cool.

Monday, February 28

  

Packed my school bag hoping maybe I'd find time in my day to get a few extra things done. 

Priorities: Study for certification test on Wednesday, work on Singers stuff.

Tuesday, March 1

 

Singers flash mob downtown! We were hired to be waiters and then burst out in song.

We did a mash up of "Hard Knock Life" from Annie, and 

"We Will Rock You," except we changed the lyrics to "We Won't Serve You." 

I feel like it went pretty well- I think Robert got a video of it, so maybe I can post that soon.

Anyway, SUPER fun, legit, and one more thing I can cross off my bucket list.

Be in a flash mob, check. 

 Wednesday, March 2

 

Re-stocking my "treasure box" for my 5th Graders. Smartees, Jolly Ranchers, 

Laffy Taffy, fun tops and trinkets, erasers, stickers, etc. 

I also decided to add some stickers and fun to the outside of it,

so I pretty much have a rockin' treasure box. NBD. 

Thursday, March 3

 

Fun adventures with Celeste, AYO and Cham to buy decorations for NOM. 

After-Singers adventures are the best. :) Decorations were purchased and food was eaten.

Adventure success.

  

Friday, March 4

 

Making Mardi Gras cupcakes for NOM! I texted this picture to AYO,

he responded with, "Is that food or crayon?" 

...FOOD. 

 

Cupcakes were finished, and I moved on to making dinner for the Execs.

All-boy Exec board = must have food at meetings. 

Saturday, March 5

 

Back in the Mirror Room for the first time since last spring. 

Weird to be back in here without everyone, 

but SO GOOD to be practicing lifts and legit dancing again.
Afterward, Celeste and Tucker came over for dinner. We went to the mall for make-up and ice cream, then Luis came over and we watched the first two Harry Potter movies.

Fun simple day. :)
