So I was driving home from Target today thinking about how AWESOME my shopping experience was.
- First of all, I spent way too long in the Christmas section being way too happy about Christmas and how much I stinkin' LOVE it. (Yes, I am pumped for Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving first, then Christmas.) But still. I was super excited to see aisles and aisles of my favorite time of year.
- Second, I got everything I needed AND stayed on budget. Which is SWEET.
- THIRD, I bought (and when I say "I," I mean, Mom.) a box set of all of the Charlie Brown holiday movies. Which just makes me happy, let's be real.
- And FINALLY, the entire reason I went to Target instead of HEB or somewhere else, BERRY BERRY KIX. Okay, call me crazy, but seriously, this is my childhood. Seriously, if you don't know about this stuff, GET SOME. My brother and I used to fight over this stuff. It disappeared from my life for a good decade or so (am I old?!!) and I would often wonder "dude, whatever happened to that stuff?" UNTIL ONE DAY, about two weeks ago, I was at Target and I found it. Needless to say I was PUMPED. And I was also very pleased to find out that it is, in fact, just as delicious as I remember it being. In other words, "It is LEGIT." Anyway, so I ventured to Target today to get some more. And it was there. And I was happy.
Random Thought(s):
So then I started thinking about how much I like cereal and how I eat it all the time. Not just cereal, cereal that 7-year-olds eat, such as Lucky Charms, Berry Berry Kix, Cocoa Krispies and so on. I began to wonder what it will be like when I'm a teacher (in three semesters) and pull out my zip-lock bag of Berry Berry Kix to eat during a break or as a snack. This is what ran through my head:
1. Will my kids laugh at me?
2. If my teachers had been eating kid cereals, what would I have thought of them?
3. Will I look stupid sitting at my "teacher desk" eating multi-colored cereal out of a zip-lock bag?
4. Will my kids pull out zip-lock bags of Berry Berry Kix (or whatever other childhood cereal I happen to be eating) and be really excited that we have the same thing?
5. Does being a teacher mean that I have to start eating boring cereals like Raisin Bran or Special K?
6. Will my co-workers make fun of me?
7. Will people think I'm ridiculous when I'm 25, 26, 27, or whatever and they come over to my apartment and see that my cereals of choice are Berry Berry Kix, Lucky Charms, Cocoa Krispies and Cinnamon Life?
Then I decided not to worry about it and that I'm allowed to eat whatever cereal I want. :)

I eat fiber one...so yes to that question.
Age has nothing to do with cereals of sugar and delight! I will feast upon cinnamons, colors, and marshmallows until the day I die!
